Safety and Compliance
Drone flight safety: every flight begins with the right to refuse.
Refusing flight under hazardous or non-compliant conditions is the core of our method, not fine print. Any mission failing airspace rules, safety criteria, or privacy constraints is rescheduled or cancelled. The pilot in command holds absolute authority to abort flight at any moment - and no commercial deadline overrides this rule.
Flight Qualification
Four decisions before booking any date.
Schedules are confirmed only after mission feasibility qualification. Never in reverse.
Geographical Zones
We verify airspace restrictions three times: at initial quotation, 24 hours prior to flight, and immediately before takeoff, recording status in the mission log. When a zone requires air traffic or zone manager authorization, we do not launch without formal clearance. Notifying a flight does not replace required zone permits.
People and Assembly
We do not fly over uninvolved assemblies of people. We establish dedicated takeoff, operational, and landing perimeters with a designated safety coordinator. If pedestrian or vehicular traffic cannot be adequately cordoned, the mission is postponed.
Ground Access and Site Terrain
Written site entry authorization and takeoff/landing rights from the landholder, combined with obstacle identification: overhead utility cables, tree lines, neighboring structures. Landholder permission never replaces civil airspace regulations - both are strictly required.
Meteorological Limits
Precipitation strictly prohibits takeoff - optical and electronic payloads lack rain resistance. Sustained gusty winds reschedule flights. Operating windows are always weather-conditional, communicated upfront before accepting the assignment.
Any modification of site coordinates, flight time window, trajectory, altitude, or data objective restarts the qualification process. Blanket permissions do not exist.
Operational Framework
VLOS, open category, ceiling up to 120 meters.
We operate strictly under European Open Category rules - within verifiable, transparent parameters, never relying on guesswork.

- Flight ceiling restricted to 120 m Above Ground Level (AGL) per Open Category regulations
- Formal airspace check-in and zone condition verification, rather than merely checking app colors
- Dedicated launch and recovery zone with site personnel safety briefing
- Mission flight log and environmental execution sheet delivered alongside source data
Operations exceeding Open Category constraints - such as Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) - require Specific Category standard scenarios that we do not currently offer. We disclose this transparently during feasibility review rather than overpromising. Payload constraints are detailed on our technology page.
Operating Boundaries
What we do not do, even upon explicit request.
Definitive "No"
- Flights during rain, snow, or fog - drone airframes lack water resistance ratings; this is a physical limitation
- Direct overflight of uninvolved persons - requires specific operational authorizations currently outside our scope
- Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) flight operations - outside our current Open Category profile
- Operations within active emergency rescue zones without explicit permission from incident command
- Takeoff under unresolved airspace reservations or ambiguous land access rights

Insurance & Accountability
Accountability begins prior to engine start.
Aviation liability insurance is an entry prerequisite for commercial drone operations, not a marketing badge. We treat insurance identically to airspace and weather: without verified conditions, no flight takes place.
Statutory Requirements
- Third-party liability insurance for UAV operators is mandatory in Poland for aircraft 0.25 kg to 20 kg
- Coverage must be active no later than one day before commercial operations commence
- Non-compliant flights invalidate insurance claims - reinforcing our strict flight refusal protocol
Aerfield Operational Status
- Third-party liability policy is finalized prior to commercial launch; we only state credentials in hand
- Zero commercial missions take place without active, verified policy documentation
- Coverage terms beyond statutory baselines are vetted directly with our broker before initial commercial sorties
Evidence-based transparency: we publish only qualifications and documents currently verified and held. Operational policy status will be formally updated on this page upon final execution.
Data Privacy & Retention
We capture minimum, store briefly.
Aerial optical sensors capture wider vistas than required for building envelope inspection. Therefore, data minimization begins during trajectory planning, not in post-processing.
Data Minimization
Camera angles are restricted strictly to contractual assets. Flight paths are planned to prevent capturing bystanders and adjacent private properties. Incidental peripheral captures are masked or permanently purged.
Retention Policy
Raw inspection data is held for 30 days following client sign-off, extended to 90 days if formal revisions are open. Incidental captures of persons are masked or removed within 7 days. Working policy subject to ongoing review.
Access Controls
Datasets are transferred via secure, encrypted links with set expiration dates, never via public web galleries. Access is restricted to authorized project stakeholders. Portfolio use requires prior written consent.
Contingency Procedures
Aborting a mission is a procedure, not an improvisation.
Airborne anomalies trigger a predefined emergency sequence - prioritizing people, preserving technical evidence, and completing formal reporting.
Immediate Abort & Personnel Safety
Safe flight termination and immediate securing of ground personnel and landing perimeter. If required, emergency response services are alerted immediately before any other step.
Evidence Preservation
Airframe, propulsion batteries, ground control station, memory cards, telemetry logs, and capture files are kept intact for causal analysis. Environmental variables and witnesses are formally logged.
Regulatory Reporting
Aviation safety incidents and data protection incidents follow statutory notification obligations with strict timeframes (typically within 72 hours). Every decision regarding reporting is documented.
Return to Flight Status
Root cause analysis, complete airframe hardware inspection, and procedural updates precede any subsequent takeoff. No flight resumes until incident closure is formally signed off.
Professional Scope
We also know who we are not.
Clear professional boundaries protect both parties. We know what aerial imaging accomplishes - and we state honestly where our role concludes.
Not an Emergency Search and Rescue Service
In life-threatening situations or acute property emergencies, immediately dial 112. We do not perform emergency rescue flights, tactical searches, or ad-hoc disaster interventions, and we never fly within active rescue perimeters without official authority command.
Not Engineering Surveyors or Certified Auditors
We deliver systematic, georeferenced visual and thermal observations with explicit methodology boundaries. Engineering interpretation, structural diagnosis, and formal repair specifications remain the domain of licensed specialists: roofers, PV maintenance engineers, certified building auditors, or structural surveyors. Our reports do not arbitrate warranty claims - they provide objective baseline evidence for technical review.
