Drone inspections of PV and wind farms: before the crew goes out, we will point to the specific modules.
A drop in energy output, taking over an installation, the end of a warranty or a check after a storm. Instead of sending people to search the whole field or roof for the problem, we survey the site from the air. You receive an ordered list with photographs and row numbers, and we leave the interpretation to your service company.
Photovoltaics
Two paths: visual documentation and thermal screening.
Visual documentation of an installation we deliver straight away. The thermal camera survey has hard method conditions, and until we have passed them on our own equipment we do not sell it as a finished product. We would rather say so now than in the report.
RGB documentation of the installation and its surroundings
The condition of the modules, the mounting structures, the visible cabling and how far the site has become overgrown. An index of observations with locations, ready to hand to the service company.

Thermal survey of farms and rooftop PV
Paired RGB and radiometric IR frames with an index of anomalies for verification. The method conditions are non-negotiable: minimum 600 W/m² in the plane of the module, stable sunlight, wind up to 4 m/s, native GSD up to 3.0 cm/px. When the conditions are not met we move the date or drop back to an RGB scope.
Thermal imaging points out temperature differences for verification. It is not a diagnosis of a defect, it does not detect microcracks and it does not replace electrical measurements.
Conditions and limits of the methodWind energy
Documentation of the infrastructure of wind farms.
We do not carry out technical inspections of blades or rulings on the condition of the turbine itself - that requires certified equipment and procedures we do not have. We say so plainly, because that is what being straight with you means.
What we do provide is complete documentation of everything around it: the condition of the foundations, the surface of the tower from a safe distance, the access roads, the assembly yards and the construction progress of the project.

Foundation, tower and surroundings
Visual documentation of the foundation, of the tower surface from a safe distance, of the state of the coatings and of the surroundings of the position. Material for assessment by the appropriate specialist.
Access roads and yards
The condition of the technology roads and the assembly yards with a view to heavy equipment arriving and to how passable the ground is.
Construction progress of the farm
Fixed shots from the same points in a cycle, for comparison between visits. A contract from 6 visits, because the value comes from the series, not from a single flight.
Documentation after an event
The state of the site after a windstorm, a lightning strike or a failure, once the emergency services have finished. Input material for the insurer and the loss adjuster.
Blade inspection and rulings
Assessing the condition of the blades, the nacelle up close and a technical ruling on the turbine require a different platform and different competences. We refer you to a partner who signs that off, instead of pretending we have the service on the shelf.
Substation, connection and energy storage
Visual documentation of the transformer station, the connection points and the energy storage units.
A flight near a working turbine requires agreement with the farm operator, and often stopping the machine. We settle that before the date, not on the day of the flight.
The boundary of responsibility
We deliver the data. Your expert signs the result.
Aerfield is responsible for
- a legal and safe mission: zones, permissions, flight geometry, the weather window
- repeatable capture of the imagery and a mission log with the flight conditions
- quality control of the material before handover
- an index of observations with locations and the stated limits of the method
Aerfield is not responsible for
- diagnosing a cause, confirming a defect or issuing a certificate
- a ruling on the condition of a turbine, a structure or an electrical installation
- calculating lost output or settling a warranty claim
- a survey product or a declared accuracy of the map product
Price
Renewable energy projects are quoted by scope.
The starting point for a standalone assignment: from 2,200 PLN net (working floor), quoted by scope. The number of positions, the size of the installation, site entry requirements and arrangements with the operator change the scope too much to pretend there is a single price list. The price is in the quote before the flight.
